Advanced Polarimeter
Principle and Working :
A polarimeter is an instrument which measures the rotation of the polarization plane through optically active liquids. It is used to analyze the concentration and contents of substance like sugar solutions. The polarizer produces linear polarized light. This polarized light passes through the half wave plate and then the sample substance. After this it passes through the analyzer to the eyepiece. In the eyepiece a triple shadow field can be observed and the angle of rotation is measured with a circular scale and vernier.
Features:
- Stand alone setup built-in sodium lamp, power supply and polarimeter tube
- Built -in magnifier to read vernier & main scale.
- Modern and user friendly design (scale & triple shades of light source are visible simultaneously)
- Compact design required less space in Laboratory.
- Least count 0.05°
- Sodium bulb with pin sockets for easy replacement.
